Banners in search results and other new features

Our team decided to sunset the Banger and Rockford Turn themes. Since Shopify released Online Store 2.0, it has been difficult for us to keep our themes up to date. Since we are primarily a software company and not a design agency, we decided to stop selling these themes. The Banger and Rockford Turn themes were deducting time from our engineers to develop new features and improve the core product - Year-Make-Model Search - and onboarding new customers. We also prefer to partner with design agencies and complement each other's expertise, rather than compete with each other.

Banners in search results

Now merchants on Shopify can put promo banners inside the search results. The URL from the banner can lead customer anywhere you’d like to: the product page, collections page, promo page, etc.

Popular brands

Auto parts merchants know which vehicles are most popular with their customers. Therefore, we have added the option to display popular makes within the year-make-model lookup. This helps the majority of customers to quickly select their make instead of scrolling through all the options.

The Shopify app also received several updates. We redesigned the tabs to make it more convenient for merchants to configure all the features themselves.

We added more fitment data resources that can be connected directly to the app via APIs.

In addition, anyone can now configure the display of the selected vehicle on the checkout page. This feature allows you to remind your customers what year make model they selected before buying the part.

The Convermax team added more themes that are automated and can be quickly configured to work smoothly with the app. The list of these themes includes:

  • Warehouse

  • Dawn

  • Spark

  • Chromium Theme | v4

  • Caros
