WHAT WE DID
It was the second website for Aeromotive Group to which the Convermax team integrated our search engine. Aeromotive migrated to Shopify and decided to change the search app as well. Unlike other auto parts websites, they asked us to make the pump finder (instead of YMM finder) the center of the search experience. The Pump finder asks the customers to select if the product they are looking for is a Carbureted or Fuel Injected, Naturally Aspirated or Forced Induction, specify the fuel type, mounting configuration and HP range.
The garage was also replaced by the Pump finder.
Even though the pump finder is the center of the customers’ search experience on the Aeromotive website, they can check if the product is what they need by year-make-model search too. It’s possible via the Verify fitment widget placed on the product detail page.
Following the overall user experience logic of the store, the pump applications tab replaced the fitment table tab in the product details.
On the search results page, users also can narrow down the results by year, make and model. The product results will match the search query, e.g. “fuel pump”, and YMM selection.
